This event brings together three people with insight and expertise on closing charities. They offer practical hands-on experience and will share their insights on how to open up conversations about closure, and if it is the right course, how to navigate it well.

Our online peer sessions are designed to help you connect with other Chairs and Vice Chairs, share your experiences and learn from those who may be facing similar challenges and opportunities to you.

From contracts of employment to pay and reward conditions, safeguarding against discrimination in the workplace, flexible working, sick leave, disciplinary procedures, and more – there is much to consider on this topic, and this session will help you understand your responsibilities as Chairs, and what steps to take to manage them.

Join us on 25th October, when we’ve convened a panel of committee Chairs to offer their insights and experience on what has worked for them. This will be an interactive session, and there will be an opportunity to share experiences and queries with fellow Chairs in breakout groups, as well as put your questions to our panel.

Getting the right behaviours and dynamics on the board and between board members is an essential ingredient for successful organisations. This session will provide useful insight and advice on how to set the tone for the board, create expectations of appropriate trustee behaviours, build positive relationships, and manage difficult dynamics.
