Chair and CEO – learning and leading together – Paul Streets, Chief Executive of the Lloyds Bank Foundation
We are delighted to have as our guest speaker Paul Streets, Chief Executive of the Lloyds Bank Foundation which funds over 1,000 small/medium charities across England and Wales.
Paul has had a long leadership career in the voluntary and public sectors working as CEO of two charities (including Diabetes UK) and two public bodies. In that time he has worked with 7 different Chairs. Paul also has significant NED experience himself as a board member, and currently chairs Contact a Family and a UK wide NHS Committee.
Paul will speak about what he believes is key to good Chair/CEO working relations from both sides of the table, including how to gets things right – or stop them going wrong – in the first place, the role of appraisal and how to approach it – for CEO and fellow Trustees – and how to address performance issues.
Paul says
I’ve made many mistakes, learnt a great deal and come up with some things I think work and may work for others. I promise no magic or silver bullets, but will promise to be open, honest and keen to learn from others round the table.
Join us for dinner to hear Paul and discuss the issues with your peers, kindly hosted by CCLA. There are a limited number of places and this event is for AoC members and invited guests only.
