We know that the role of Chair although rewarding can be lonely. In a smaller organisation, there is often little resource to support the Chair and limited time to reflect on the nature of the role.

The Beacon Programme’s ‘Being an Effective Chair’ live webinar is an introduction to the role of Chair, providing those chairing smaller charities (with an annual income under £1 million) with top tips and tools to help them be more effective in their role.



By the end of the webinar, you will:

  • be clear about the Chair’s role and legal responsibilities
  • understand what can help you be more effective in your chairing role
  • have practical tools to help you run effective meetings
  • get tips and insights from other Chairs of smaller organisations
