Free checklist to help Chairs of smaller charities - Local Charities Day
As a new or established Chair of a smaller charity, it is important to keep a realistic picture of your charity and its impact. We have produced a handy guide of seven top tips to help you keep in touch with your charity's activities, plans, people and peers.
To mark Local Charities Day on 14 December, we temporarily removed the Beacon Programme membership wall for our resource Getting to know your charity, developed as part of our second module 'Strenthening your Organisation'.
Chairs have an important role in ensuring that their boards understand their organisation and its external environment. Having this knowledge supports good decision-making and strenthens the organisation's governance.
The guide was available until Thursday 20 December.
If you are a Chair / Vice Chair of an England-based organisation with an annual income under £1m, join the Beacon Programme for FREE to access this resource and more.
