Brighthelm, North Road, Brighton, BN1 1YD

If you are based in the south of England, join us in Brighton for this second Beacon workshop which aims to provide you with the knowledge and tools to ensure your charity has the strategy, resources and processes to succeed. This workshop will help you to be clear about what needs to be in place and ensure that it happens. It will support you to identify the boundaries between planning and overseeing the work and the separate task of carrying it out. You will have the opportunity to share learning and sources of support with Chairs of other smaller organisations.

This workshop is only open to those who have registered with the Beacon Programme. If you are the Chair or Vice Chair of a smaller charity in England with an annual income of under £1 million, please join the programme and then book your place.

Thursday 15 November 2018 10:30 am - 4:00 pm Leeds
Well Met Conferencing, Well Met, Cloth Hall Court, Quebec Street, Leeds, LS1 2HA

When the relationship between Chair and Chief Executive is strong – they are a ‘dynamic duo’ – both adding value to the organisation. When the relationship is in trouble the organisation suffers. This event explores how to balance the roles and how to bring out the best in each other by looking at the CEO/Chair relationship from both perspectives. It is an opportunity for you to hear from and share ideas with your peers. Topics that will be covered include: what does the relationship look like when it works well, practical realities and experiences from Chairs and CEOs, and how to establish and develop a supportive culture and deal with conflict.
