Online Peer Surgery: The Role of the Vice Chair

Tuesday 4 February 2020. 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Connect, share and learn

Our NEW online peer surgeries are designed to help you connect with other Chairs and Vice Chairs, share your experiences and learn from those who may be facing similar challenges and opportunities to you.

The surgeries will be led by a session leader, a fellow Chair or Vice Chair, who will begin by sharing their experience on a particular topic. There will then be opportunity for you to ask questions and share your experiences. The aim is not for the session leader to give you advice, but to create an environment where all those on the surgery can share their experiences, learn and support one another.

John Williams, Vice Chair of Association of Chairs, will lead this online peer surgery. He will share his experience of being a Vice Chair and what this means in terms of supporting the Chair, helping develop the board as an effective team and holding additional responsibilities.

Join the surgery to connect with 6 – 12 other Chairs face to face via video over the online platform, Zoom. Never used Zoom before? Do not worry! Following sign up we will send you a link to join the video call and instructions on how to use Zoom (e.g. how to check your sound and video are working).
