Online Peer Surgery: Making Meetings Work
Connect, share and learn
Our NEW online peer surgeries are designed to help you connect with other Chairs and Vice Chairs, share your experiences and learn from those who may be facing similar challenges and opportunities to you.
The surgeries will be led by a session leader, a fellow Chair or Vice Chair, who will begin by sharing their experience on a particular topic. There will then be opportunity for you to ask questions and share your experiences. The aim is not for the session leader to give you advice, but to create an environment where all those on the surgery can share their experiences, learn and support one another.
Ruth Lesirge, ex-Chair of Association of Chairs, will explore what you can do to help trustees understand their role and contribute effectively. She will also share practical tips about keeping board meetings fresh and dealing with the challenges we all face from time to time!
Join the surgery to connect with 6 – 12 other Chairs face to face via video over the online platform, Zoom. Never used Zoom before? Do not worry! Following sign up we will send you a link to join the video call and instructions on how to use Zoom (e.g. how to check your sound and video are working).
