Financial Sustainability – More Than a Long-Term Aspiration?

Wednesday 2 October 2019. 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Registration from 4:30 pm.

Details

As Chair, you are responsible for helping your board to understand the issues and to make well-grounded decisions about the charity’s finances. We all want to maximise outcomes for beneficiaries, but we also have to look to the future and attend to the long-term sustainability and financial health of the organisation.

This session aims to inform your thinking and the approach your board might take to ensuring the organisation can survive and thrive. We will unpack and examine the key elements of financial sustainability and explore how organisations can manage when resources are scarce.

The session is tailored to the role and needs of Chairs and will include some practical tips and tools.

Feedback from previous participant:

“The presentation by Kate Sayer and the group discussion on our table were both very good.”

Alexandra Marks CBE, Prisoner’s education trust
