An Expert’s Insight on Trustee Recruitment (Pilot Session)

Hear from Janet Thorne, CEO of Reach Volunteering.

Our NEW Expert Insight Sessions will give you the opportunity to hear from an expert, ask questions and discuss with fellow Chairs and Vice Chairs.

Our first session will be led by trustee recruitment expert Janet Thorne, CEO of Reach Volunteering. She will look at all stages of trustee recruitment: from reflecting on the kind of board your charity needs through planning, advertising, selecting, inducting to evaluating. By drawing on Reach’s research, she will also explore the tools, techniques and mindset for successful recruitment, and how to embed an inclusive approach so that you can diversify your board.

If you would like to submit any questions to the expert in advance of the session please email Isabel.locke@associationofchairs.org.uk by midnight on 6th February.

The session will be held over the online platform, Zoom, enabling you to see the expert and others joining the session face to face. Never used Zoom before? Do not worry! Following sign up we will send you a link to join the video call and instructions on how to use Zoom (e.g. how to check your sound and video are working).
The session will begin with the expert giving a short presentation on a particular topic. There will then be opportunity for you to ask questions, share your own learning and experiences and to hear from others.
