Our NEW Expert Insight Sessions will give you the opportunity to hear from an expert, ask questions and discuss with fellow Chairs and Vice Chairs.
This session will be led by Judith Miller. As well as having been a trustee for many years, she is partner at Sayer Vincent LLP and one of the authors of the Honorary Treasurers Handbook. She will look at the oversight role the board has in relation to the charity’s finances. She will cover what skills you need around the board table, and what information the board needs and when in its annual calendar. She will also share her perspective on warning signs and key questions to ask especially in the current coronavirus pandemic.
The session will be held over the online platform, Zoom, enabling you to see the expert and others joining the session face to face. Never used Zoom before? Do not worry! Following sign up we will send you a link to join the video call and instructions on how to use Zoom (e.g. how to check your sound and video are working).
The session will begin with the expert giving a short presentation on a particular topic. There will then be opportunity for you to ask questions, share your own learning and experiences and to hear from others.
